The Problem
Most hot tub owners only clean the filter.
Body oils, lotions and organic debris don't stop at the filter. Buildup also forms inside the hot tub's plumbing and jet lines, and along the shell and waterline — so a clean filter goes straight back into a dirty system.
1. Plumbing & jets
Added to the spa water with the jets running, it circulates through the pipes, pumps and internal plumbing, helping remove the buildup inside.
2. The spa shell
While it circulates, it also washes the walls and waterline, helping lift body oils, lotions and debris from the surface.

How To Use It
Filters, pipes, or a shock
Filter soak (deep cleaning)
Mix 2 oz with 2.5 gallons of warm water. Submerge the filter for at least 30 minutes — up to 8 hours or overnight for heavy buildup. Pressure rinse before reinstalling.
Filter spray (quick cleaning)
Mix 2 oz with 24 oz of water. Rinse off loose debris, spray into the pleats, wait 5 minutes, then pressure rinse.
Pipe cleaning
With the spa full, jets running and filters out, add 4 oz per 400 gallons. Run the jets 30 minutes, then drain, rinse and refill.
Shock treatment
For pipes that have never been cleaned: 8 oz per 400 gallons. Jets 20 minutes, soak 60, jets another 20, then drain, rinse and refill.

Before you buy
Does it work on pool filters?
Yes. Pool cartridge filters of the same type clean with the same soak or spray method.
Soak or spray?
The soak is the recommended deep clean, especially for heavy buildup. The spray is a quick clean between soaks.
My spa isn't 400 gallons.
Scale the dose to the water: 4 oz per 400 gallons for a pipe cleaning, 8 oz per 400 gallons for a shock.
When do I need a shock treatment?
For pipes that have never been cleaned. After that, a regular pipe cleaning every 2–3 months helps prevent biofilm buildup.

Hot tub purge: flushing the plumbing before a drain and refill
Most hot tub care stops at the filter and the water. The plumbing behind the jets never gets scrubbed, and that is where body oils, lotions and organic film collect. A purge cleans the part you cannot reach: add the cleaner with the jets running, let it circulate, then drain, rinse and refill.

What comes out, and what to expect
Expect the water to look dirty at the end of a purge: that is the buildup leaving the pipes rather than sitting in them. Wipe the shell and waterline before the water dries on it, then rinse well.
Some foaming is normal once the jets break the film loose. If it climbs, turn the jets down for a few minutes. Rinse filters thoroughly with a pressure nozzle before they go back in.

It works alongside chlorine, bromine, salt, ozone and mineral systems: purge and refill, then balance the fresh water the way you normally would. A clean plumbing system means your sanitizer is not fighting the buildup in the pipes.

How often should I purge my hot tub plumbing?
Every 2–3 months, which lines up with a normal drain and refill. Filters get cleaned more often: every 4–8 weeks depending on use.
Is it safe with chlorine, bromine or a salt system?
Yes. It is a cleaner, not a sanitizer or water balancer, so it works alongside whatever sanitizer system the tub runs on. Purge before a drain and refill, then balance the fresh water as usual.
Is foaming normal?

What is that gunk coming out of the jets?
